The Panel continues to work on its report. Thereafter, the Panel will report to the Minister.

February 2006

The Panel is working on its report. It will deliver its report to the Attorney General. The timing for delivery of the report has not been determined. After it is delivered to the AG, the report will be made public in due course.

November 2005

The Panel heard from several additional groups and individuals in September and October 2005.

Themes raised included those of:

• Access and restrictions to information;
• Roles and responsibilities of the media and justice institutions.

The Panel is currently preparing its report to the Attorney General.

September 2005

During its meetings with stakeholders, the Panel has heard some general themes emerge, including:

• Consistency of approach across the province;
• Ways to enhance mutual understanding through education and ongoing structures and processes;
• Role of culture shifts, including use of technology.

The Panel will resume meetings with stakeholders in September and October.
